Just found your blog. I enjoyed reading your posts. I lost a 100 pounds on the low carb DietToGo plan 5 years ago. I stuck with the prepared meals for an extra 6 months or so even after I hit my goal. But, then I stopped and gradually over the last few years watched as my weight crept back up to where I started before DietToGo.
Last week, I decided to suck it up and go back on DietToGo. I now realize that I may never stop buying my food prepared. My problem is that my view of proper portions is inflated. With prepared meals, if I just accept the fact that the only food I will eat is what they give me to eat, I can be successful.
I see your weight is creeping back up there. To gain a half pound of fat in a week, you only need to take in 250 more calories per day than you need. To me, 250 calories is nothing. When I’m not on DietToGo, a 250 calorie snack was not out of the question. I just didn’t think about it much.
So, I know how you feel. I was amazed as my 100 pounds came back and I was powerless to reverse the trend. Each week I would see an extra half pound here and there and next thing I know, I was back where I started.
Anyway, just to let you know, that at least for me, prepared meals like DietToGo with the restriction that I only eat the food in the meals and nothing else, is the way to go. Probably doesn’t work for everyone, but I’m sure in 10 months I will be back down to a proper weight and this time I hope it stays off.
