I’m really teetering around this mark…
Weight: 186.5 (back up 1/2 # from last week)
I’m really doing nothing though to try to lose weight. However I’m psyched to report that Mr. Peanut & I are making our kitchen usable this weekend (since the move, it has had crap everywhere and cooking in there has been completely impossible — even any kind of take-out that might involve reheating has been impossible), and both of us really want to get on exercise again. With moving/settling in and starting my new job, not to mention getting thrown off quite a bit by leaving town suddenly last week for a funeral, it’s just been very difficult to get anything off the ground. As always, I hope to be on track soon.
Yesterday I watched a program on TV called the Ultimate Slimdown about a girl in her 20s who lost 50 or 60 pounds over the course of several months (I think 9 months). I was so jealous because they’d be like “Week 23 – 170 pounds” (she started at 213), and I was like crap, I’m already past the 60th week in my journey and I’m only. down. TEN. pounds. Kind of frustrating! But at the same time, I’ve had tons of life change and weird circumstances. I just have to keep chipping away, I guess!

Sigh. Some weight-loss journey this is. But check it out:
Weight: 186.0 (down 1/2 # from last week)
So there’s some movement in the right direction. I have a good feeling about the next few months or the next year. BUT, I think the next few WEEKS will continue to be challenging. I’m okay with that… I have a lot going on. The job I started last Monday is going well so far, but there’s been a death in my family, so there’s just a lot going on. I’ll get back with you guys and get back on track very soon… I swear!

Hi guys! I’m moved into my new apartment (sort of… boxes everywhere… by the way my old PFFS & eDiets boxes made great packing boxes!) and have been working hard on unpacking. It’s been a crazy couple of weeks with the move and all the life changes, and my diet has been a disaster. So of course, my numbers have crept up:
Weight: 186.5 (up 2.5# from 3/14)
It could be worse, I guess. I just hope I can fit into some of my clothes for my first couple weeks of work (I start Monday). I think once I get into my routine, I should be able to get back on track. I want to!

Well, my weight is up, which should surprise no one…
Weight: 182.0 (up 2# from 3/7)
I’m trying to keep a positive attitude… I probably can’t really even begin to think about weight loss for at least another 3-4 weeks. It’s a little frustrating, but I’m doing my best not to give in to all that!! It will be a bummer to start my new job a few pounds up from when I had my interview, though!
Movers are coming a week from Tuesday. More updates as I can do them!

Hey guys! Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve checked in. A lot has been happening!! As you all know, I was off traveling again… but what you didn’t know is that this was a special trip. I had a job interview in another city and I GOT THE JOB!!! And then right after I found out I had gotten it (literally that evening), Mr. Peanut and I both came down with a horrible stomach virus — vomiting, digestive problems, the works. That was just over a week ago and frankly, I’m still not back to my usual appetite. Before getting sick, Mr. Peanut and I were going crazy with our eating, so I definitely think I have illness to blame for today’s number:
Weight: 182.0 (down 1# from 2/14)
I’m pretty sure if I hadn’t gotten sick, that number would NOT be going in the right direction!
Looking ahead, I’m not sure what’s going to happen over the next few weeks with dieting. Mr. Peanut and I have to figure out this long-distance move in only about 3 or 4 weeks, which is pretty quick. Unfortunately, dieting is just not a huge priority right now… but if I can do it, I’ll try to have diet days during the weeks this month. I really don’t want to GAIN weight (obviously!!), but I’m trying to be realistic about how crazy my life is going to be while managing this move!
Also, my new job is going to be 70% travel — so that is going to be VERY interesting as far as weight loss goes. I know it’s all up to me, and I can do it — but I also know there’s going to be an adjustment period. Probably a BIG ONE!

Well, we all know I saw trouble coming.
Weight: 183.0 (up 1# from 2/8)
You know, it is just crazy how I have to work sooooo hard and be SO on top of things all week long just to lose one pound; if I slip up and gain one, I actually feel like I’ve gained two, because if I had done things correctly, I would have probably lost a pound from last week and been at 181. SIGH!
This is most likely going to be my last weigh-in for a couple of weeks. I sure hope things don’t fall too far back during my upcoming travel!!

Uh-oh.
I don’t think it will be too damaging, but last night Mr. Peanut and I got a little messed up because of an event we went to, and then today for various reasons we decided to get burgers. Haha. “Various reasons” is not very specific, I know, but it doesn’t really matter WHY it happened. Then, I just found out I’m going to go out of town for an interview for a job I really, really want — which is evolving into a multi-week road trip, which can wreak havoc on a diet.
And I was doing so well.
The thing is, obviously with this potential job (and potential MOVE that could accompany it), I have my focus a little bit on different things right now… so keeping up with the diet and everything is a little challenging. And I don’t know what’s going to happen over the next couple of weeks. I doubt whatever damage might happen is going to be anything too horrible, but it is kind of a bummer.
So, I just wanted to let you all know what was going on. We’re not leaving until next week, so I’ll have my regular weigh-in on Saturday, but with the “incidents” yesterday and today I’m not expecting good news!!

Yikes! I’ve been so busy, I almost forgot to post my weigh-in. Sheesh! I’m back-dating this so I keep my weeks straight. News is decent:
Weight: 182.0 (down 1# from 1/31)
I haven’t forgotten you guys and I really am going to post all that stuff I promised. I have to get through the next couple of days… I have some life/career stuff up in the air right now so things are a little discombobulated! But I’m just working as hard as I can and seeing those s-l-o-w but sure RESULTS! This next week has some diet challenge days coming up so we’ll see what happens next week…

Happy one-year anniversary of dieting to me! A year ago this week, I started on my first meal delivery plan. And then… a lot of other stuff happened. So where are we now?
Weight: 183.0 (down 1/2# from 1/24)
I’m DOWN 1/2 # from last week, DOWN 13 1/2 # from my initial weigh-in on January 27, 2008, and UP 7 1/2 # from my lowest measured weight (from October 16, 2008). I’m also DOWN 5 # from when I started dieting again in earnest on January 5, 2009… so… that’s all interesting.
I do wish today’s number was a bit more dramatic, but I can only do what I can do, I guess. Thanks everyone for being along for the ride for the past year!! I hope this year brings MORE SUCCESS!!

Hi all — just wanted to let you know, gracious reader Elizabeth sent me some great photos showing the new eDiets packaging and I keep meaning to write a post for them and just haven’t gotten around to it yet. I’ll get that up hopefully in the next couple of days!
I also need to write up a report about my (limited) BistroMD experience. So that should be on its way in the coming weeks as well.
Also, the plan I’m doing now (that I designed myself) isn’t exactly in a shareable form at the moment (lots of handwritten notes, etc), but I’m planning on getting that set up in a file of some kind that I can share with all of you… hopefully within a month or two. (It’s been a LOT of work!)
